How do I fly to Virgin Gorda?
The British Virgin Islands are easily reached via most major commercial airlines through St. Thomas, USVI (STT, Cyril E. King Airport), or San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU, Luiz Munoz Marin International Airport).
From St. Thomas or San Juan, many connect to the BVI by flying into its largest island, Tortola, which is across the Sir Francis Drake Channel from Virgin Gorda. Tortola’s Beef Island is the site of the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS). From EIS, Virgin Gorda is easily reached by ferry or water taxi.
Alternatively, small commercial and charter flights from St. Thomas or San Juan fly directly into Virgin Gorda’s Taddy Bay International Airport (VIJ).

Do You Accept Credit Cards?
We do not accept credit or debit cards. We prefer to do business the old-fashioned way so we can maintain your protection and privacy. This also allows us to provide the personalized attention and the flexibility should an emergency arise. We do accept U.S. and International Wire Transfers and can provide that information to you upon booking your stay.

Does The Villa Have WiFi and Internet?
We have state-of-the art WiFi and Internet connectivity throughout the 6,500-square foot Villa, right down to the comfy pergola on the beachfront of our 1-acre property. The WiFi password is posted in the Villa for your convenience. We also offer Smart TVs, along with a waterproof Bluetooth portable speaker that can be used throughout the property.

What Electrical Currency Is Used On The Island?
The power grid is the same as the U.S. at 110v, so no special converters are needed. We provide surge protectors and phone chargers in various areas of the Villa for your electronic devices. We highly recommend their use due to fluctuating current in the Caribbean. For your safety and convenience due to the rare realities of Island life in the BVI, the Villa is also equipped with a large generator.

Is There A Safe To Use While Staying At The Villa?
Valuables brought to the Villa are brought at the guests’ sole risk. The owners accept no liability and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage. Guests remain solely responsible for the safekeeping of any such items. For your convenience, a laptop safe in each Villa bedroom closet is available for the safekeeping of your valuables. We ask that you leave the safe door open and unlocked upon departure.

What Currency is Used in the British Virgin Islands?
The US Dollar is standard currency and used throughout the BVI. Credit cards are widely accepted.

Can I Rent a Car on Virgin Gorda?
Yes, and we highly recommend doing so to enhance your vacation. Roads are easily navigated, and all Directional Apps (Waze, Google Maps) make exploring the island fun and easy. Virgin Gorda is part of the British Virgin Islands, so if you rent a car you will be driving on the LEFT SIDE of the road. Our Guest Services Concierge Anna can assist you with rental choices through our partner, L & S rentals, and pricing.

Will My Cellphone Work On The Island?
Yes! Your cellphone will work on the island. We suggest downloading WhatsApp to communicate with your Guest Services Concierge Anna while staying at the Villa. WhatsApp will assure you direct communication with Anna at any time should you need assistance, dinner reservations, car information, excursion assistance, provisioning, etc.

Are There Grocery Stores On The Island?
Yes! There are several grocery stores within a 5-10 minute drive from the Villa. Each store has different items, so you may want to venture to each in order to find what you are looking for. Keep in mind that most dry goods, meats, dairy products etc. are shipped to the Island and therefore may cost more than in the U.S. Most grocery stores do not provide plastic bags at checkout, so we highly suggest carrying bags that are provided in the Villa for your purchases. You can purchase alcohol and liquor in the grocery store. There are several road-side vendors that sell fresh fruits and vegetables and we highly recommend stopping to shop local!

Is There A Hospital/Infirmary or Pharmacy On The Island?
Yes! There is a new well-equipped hospital and clinic, and a well-stocked pharmacy on the island. We do recommend bringing with you from home any medication you take on a regular basis. Should you become ill during your stay, your Guest Services Concierge Anna will be available 24/7 to assist you with medical attention. She can dispatch emergency services and/or call a doctor to visit you at the Villa.
